World Book Day 2015

World Book Day got of to a great start with all of the children registering as members with Randalstown Library.  We have always enjoyed a close working relationship with the Library from our ECO activities.  The new librarian made us feel very welcome by opening the library up to allow our P4-P7 children to visit the Library. It was a rare treat indeed as we were the only visitors to the library at that time.  Thank you   Conor (the new librarian).  We hope that as soon as we get our new Hall Conor will be a regular visitor to the school.

The children came dressed in character for World Book Day and the winners received a book voucher for all their hardwork.

Primary Six and Seven took part in a budding reading session outside with the Primary One and Primary Two classroom.  The children commented how much fun they had.  The children are now going on a rota and are going to continue with the peer reading session on a weekly basis.
