Today, our P6 pupils enjoyed a meaningful and enriching visit to the Belfast Islamic Centre as part of their RE learning this term.
Living out our integrated ethos and values of respect, equality, diversity and inclusion, the children had the opportunity to learn with and from others, deepening their understanding of different cultures, beliefs and traditions.
The pupils were so warmly welcomed and greatly enjoyed hearing from Ameer, who shared his experiences and answered their thoughtful questions. Witnessing a prayer session was a particularly special moment, helping the children develop empathy, understanding and mutual respect—values at the very heart of integrated education.
We are very grateful to everyone at the Belfast Islamic Centre for their kindness, hospitality and openness. Experiences like this truly support our aim of nurturing informed, respectful and confident young people in a shared and diverse society.
