Primary 2 were very excited to take part in a special outdoor learning experience last week to celebrate Earth Day as we released our ladybirds into our planting area. The children have been carefully observing and learning about these amazing insects, and it was wonderful to finally set them free into their new home.
Our pupils showed great responsibility and care throughout the process, making sure the ladybirds were handled gently and released safely. We discussed how ladybirds help to look after our environment by keeping plants healthy, and the children were proud to know they were helping our school garden to thrive.
