Compost lesson
16th May 2024
The ECO club were delighted to welcome back, Suzanne from Tidy Randalstown for their final session this year. Suzanne explained in simple steps how to make our own compost from household waste. She then demonstrated to the children how to stop the snails from eating all our plants. The children found out that broken eggshells is the best way to prevent the snails from eating the plants.
She was surprised to see how tall the Primary 6 pupils potato plants had grown and was able to offer some invaluable tips. We are delighted that Tidy Randalstown are popping in and actively joining us as we start our ECO journey towards gaining our second ECO flag.
