Happy National Poetry Day!
This morning we had a whole school assembly to celebrate World Poetry Day. We heard some tongue twisters and some funny poems to nurture our love of literacy and make us smile.
P6 have been studying William Wordsworth's 'Daffodil' poem. They wrote their own versions of these and completed some beautiful daffodil art to accompany them. They then improved their oracy skills by reading these out in our assembly for the whole school to hear. We are thankful for the talented poets we have here in school!
