The Excitement is Building!

The pupils and staff were thrilled to see the arrival of the digger today at school marking the first visible sign of the schools enhancement programme that is due to start now.

This week the builders will be starting on clearing the ground then over the half term break they will be removing lots of earth and bringing in the stone for the building foundations.

The main earth moving work will continue through November and then they will be fitting out the classrooms. After the new classrooms and admin block they will be starting on the new hall after Christmas. Finally in the February holidays they plan on demolishing the old classroom / staffroom block and extending the top playground into that area.  The main disruption to school will be after the Halloween holidays during November while they clear the ground and dig foundations. We will be drawing up plans for this to minimize the impact, but if we can ask for your patience during that those 3 weeks at drop-off and pick-up times it will be much appreciated.

For more information on the plans take a look here.
