Maine Integrated Primary School is a Grant Maintained Integrated (GMI) school funded directly by the Department for Education as set out in the Common Funding Scheme for the Management of Schools in Northern Ireland
GMI schools are managed by the Board of Governors which consists of the foundation governors along with representatives of parent, teachers and members appointed by the Department of Education. Under the school's Articles of Association and the current Scheme of Management, the Board of Governors is the employing authority of the school and is responsible for the employment of all teaching and non-teaching staff. The Board are also responsible for working with the school Principal to set school policies and guidelines.
